JAMMU, July 5: A 7-year old boy washed away in flash flood in Narwal area yesterday and his body was recovered today from a nallah near RTO office, Jammu.
According to a police official, the deceased boy has been identified as Noor-ul-Amin son of Noor Alam, resident of Burma (at present Channi Himmat, Jammu). He said the boy went missing yesterday evening when he had gone near Transport Nagar nallah and today his body was found from the same nallah near RTO office, Jammu.
“Yesterday, there was a flash flood in the nallah due to the rains and it is being apprehended that the boy was washed away in the flash flood,” the official said, adding after getting postmortem the body of the boy was handed over to his family members for last rites while Narwal police had taken cognizance of the matter.
