JAMMU, Dec 5: A 7-year-old boy was killed and his father injured in a road mishap occurred today in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the mishap occurred this evening at link road Miran Sahib. He said a man along with his 7-year-old boy was travelling on a bike when a speeding Tata Mobile hit their two-wheeler.
He said in the mishap, the man and his child received serious injuries and were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where the child was declared as brought dead by the doctors while the man was responding to the treatment but was unable to give any statement.
He said the identity of the injured man and his deceased son was yet to be ascertained but as per unconfirmed reports the injured man was Tarsem Lal of Rani Talab (Miran Sahib). “In this connection, a case has been registered at police station Miran Sahib and driver of the Tata Mobile arrested. The accused has been identified as Anil Sharma son of Chaman Lal, resident of Sunderbani,” the official added.
