7 passengers injured as minibus turns turtle

UDHAMPUR, July 4: Seven passengers were injured when a minibus turned turtle near Kali Mata Temple at Tikri, here today.
The minibus, bearing registration number JK02U-2895, was on its way from Udhampur towards Tikri when driver lost control over the vehicle, which skidded off the road and turned turtle. Locals and police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur.
Driver of the said vehicle fled the spot after the accident. Five of the injured passengers were discharged after first aid while two others with serious injuries, were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
The injured referred to GMC Jammu were identified as Hoshiyar Singh (17), son of Chain Singh of Samoil Muthal Udhampur and Suram Chand (56) son of Isher Dass of near Railway Station Udhampur.
Rehambal Police has registered the case in this connection.
