7 injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Nov 16: Seven persons were injured today in separate road mishaps happened in different parts of the Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, a speeding car bearing registration No JK19-1282 hit a road divider here at Amphalla while on its way to Bantalab. In the mishap all the four persons sitting in the car received minor injuries.
The injured identified as Veena (26) daughter of Charan Dass resident of Ramban, her mother Maya Devi, Amit (28) son of Tilak Raj Verma resident of Bantalab and his wife Asha were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu where after providing first aid they were discharged.
At Bishnah, a bike rider identified as Gurmeet Kumar (33) son of Tilak Raj resident of Smailpur got injured when he was hit by an unknown vehicle. In another case at Bishnah, a car hit a bike and left injured its rider identified as Shubhum Kumar (17), son of Dev Raj, a resident of Ward No-8 of Bishnah. Both were shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
A man also received minor injuries when the bike he was riding on got slipped this evening at Parade area of this winter capital of the State. The injured person identified as Rajinder Kumar son of Ravinder Kumar, a resident of Nanak Nagar was rushed to GMCH for treatment.
At Paloura area of city outskirts, a woman identified as Shama (55) wife of Ashok Sathu, a resident of Muthi also got injured after her scooty was hit by a car. The injured woman has been shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all the cases, the concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
