JAMMU, Feb 11: Authorities today sent 60 Bangladeshi nationals, lodged in different jails and police stations after completion of their sentence, to West Bengal where the Border Security Force (BSF) would deport them to their country from the border.
Official sources said all 60 Bangladeshi nationals had completed their sentence for illegally entering into Indian territory awarded to them by different courts and were languishing in jails or police stations.
The Bangladeshi nationals were taken to West Bengal today escorted by police personnel where they would be handed over to the BSF.
The BSF in a flag meeting with Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) would deport the Bangladeshi nationals to their country, sources said.
They added that the Bangladeshi nationals were not involved in any militant activity but had been charged with only illegal entry into India.
