6 Medical employees suspended

RAJOURI, Nov 15: Six employees of  the Community Health Centre (CHC), Kotranka were placed under suspension while the explanation of I/C Block Medical Officer was sought after they all were found un-authorisedly absent from duty today.
Official sources said that Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri, Dr Chaman Bhasin, during surprise visit to Govt Hospital Kotranka (Kandi) at around 11.30 am today found seven staff members including in-charge BMO absent from duty. The CMO found that these employees had no leave got approved from the Medical Officer and even the I/C BMO, Kotranka Dr Mohd Ajaz had proceeded to Jammu without station leave or taking permission from his senior.
The CMO also found hospital ward in shabby condition and there was no proper cleanliness. Taking serious note of the matter, Dr Bhasin sought explanation from the I/C BMO and placed all the six other employees under suspension. They were attached to the CMO office at Rajouri till further orders.
Those suspended were identified as, three Junior Staff Nurses – Shamshad Malik, Vandana Raina and Shehnaz Akhtar; Lab Technician Fazal-ul-Rehman, Nursing Orderly- Abdul Qayoom and Safaiwalla- Muneer Hussain.
The CMO also met some locals of the area including a few prominent persons of the town and took feedback from them about the functioning of the CHC, Kandi.
