RAMBAN, Mar 16: Six persons were injured when the car they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Sherbibi area along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

As per reports, a car bearing registration number JK02BB-8588 was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge near Sherbibi area along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway today evening, resulting into injuries to six persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the injured persons were rescued and shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, from where two were referred to GMC Anantnag for specialised treatment.
The injured were identified as Ramesh Sharma, son of Girdhari Lal, Umesh Sharma, son of Hridyanath, his wife Meenu, daughters, Bhavi, Vidyanshi and Kiyan, all residents of Muthi, District Jammu.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started
