DODA, May 28: Six persons including a woman got injured, while 18 others escaped unhurt, when the State Roadways Transport Corporation (SRTC) bus they were traveling in, skidded off the road and turned turtle near Pull Doda here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02Y-0584, was on its way to Kishtwar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle turned turtle, near Pull Doda.
In the accident, six persons including a lady got injured, while 18 others escaped unhurt.
After getting information, police team and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to district hospital (DH) Doda, from where two were later airlifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Sajad Hussain (43) and Javeed Iqbal, (45), sons of Sadar Din, resident of Bonjwa, Jasmeet Singh (32), son of Kirpal Singh of Simbal Camp, at present Ward Number 3, Poonch, Krishan Kumar Kotwal (51), son of Hans Raj of Kandhora Bhaderwah, Bashir Ahmed (49), son of Mohammad Abdulla Rishi of Tregam Kishtwar and Guddo Devi (39), wife of Ravi Katoch of Humble.
A case in this regard has been registered at Doda police station and investigation started.
