6 gamblers nabbed by Channi police

JAMMU, Oct 11: Channi Himmat police today arrested six gamblers along with Rs 3,700 stake money and playing cards from Bhalla Colony.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, a team from Channi Himmat Police Station conducted a raid in Bhalla Colony and arrested six gamblers along with Rs 3,700 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Raju, son of Sukha Ghari of Kolkatta, at present Talab Market, Amar, son of Gobind of Mandhya Pradesh, at present Narwal, Rakesh, son of Churaman of Madhya Pradesh, at present Talab Market, Balbir, son of Hira of Bihar, at present Talab Market, Ram Kishore, son of Ram Das of Madhya Pradesh, at present Channi and Ram Parsad, son of Kailash of Patna, Bihar, at present Talab Market Channi.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against the accused at Channi Himmat Police Station and investigation started.
Police team headed by SHO Channi Himmat Police Station Inspector Aejaz Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
