6 gamblers arrested by Gangyal police

JAMMU, Nov 14: Gangyal police today arrested six gamblers and recovered Rs 2,650 stake money and playing cards from their possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific information, police party from Gangyal Police Station led by SHO Jasveer Singh conducted raid in Kunjwani and arrested six gamblers.
The gamblers have been identified as Narveer Singh, son of Ujjagar Singh of Greater Jammu, Kunjwani, Nek Singh, son of Bhola Singh of Chib Mohalla, Gangyal, Girdhari Lal, son of Harbans Lal of Patyari Bishnah, Parshotam Kumar, son of Badri Nath of Bana Chak, Bishnah, Mohammad Sharief, son of Mohammad Abbas and Mohammad Manzoor, son of Mohammad Abbas, both residents of Bihar, presently residing in Greater Jammu, Kunjwani.
“Rs 2,650 bet money and playing cards were also recovered from the spot”, he added.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started.
