SAMBA, Sept 20: District Police Samba has arrested six gamblers in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Vijaypur and recovered money of Rs 31,630 from their possession.
Acting on specific information regarding gambling, Police team of PS Vijaypur raided the gambling spot near brick Kiln, Village Dhamore, Jakh and arrested six gamblers along with stake money of Rs 31,630 and three sets of playing cards. They were identified as Amit Singh, son of Kamal Singh of Tarlokpur, Samba, Vicky Kumar, son of Bishandass of Dhamore, Samba, Vikram Singh, son of Parshotam Singh of Jakh, Samba, Gulshan Bagal, son of Choor Singh of JakhChanni, Samba, Vikramjeet Singh son of Chander Singh of Dhamore, Samba, Ramesh Lal of Lajja Ram R/o Baderi, Bishnah, Jammu.
Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under Section 13 of Gambling Act at PS Vijaypur.
