SRINAGAR, May 21: Police continued its anti-drug drive across Kashmir today under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Abhiyan” and arrested six drug peddlers in separate operations in Baramulla, Anantnag and Kulgam districts.
A police spokesperson said that the police arrested six drug peddlers in separate operations in Baramulla, Anantnag and Kulgam and recovered charas, heroin and poppy straw-like substances from their possession. “Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations and investigations have been taken up,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson further said Sopore Police obtained court orders under Section 52A of the NDPS Act for disposal of another vehicle seized in a narcotics case. “This is the sixth vehicle being disposed of in NDPS-related cases,” the spokesperson added.
