6 die of COVID in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sept 23 : Six people died in Kashmir due to COVID-19 today taking the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 1064 while the Valley reported 603 fresh cases of Coronavirus taking the J&K tally to 67510.
A 57-year-old man from Kupwara died at SMHS Hospital, nine days after he was admitted. He was suffering from COVID pneumonia.
An 82-year-old man from Chandpora Harwan died at SKIMS Medical College Hospital at Bemina.
An 82-year-old man from Peerbagh Srinagar died, seven days after he was admitted at a hospital here.
Two among victims succumbed at SKIMS Hospital in Soura includes a 75-year-old woman from Bhaderwah who was admitted to the Tertiary Care Hospital two days ago. She was diagnosed with hypertension, T2DM severe COVID pneumonia, and died due to cardiopulmonary arrest.
A 55-year-old woman from Ramban who was diagnosed with “intestinal obstruction with severe COVID pneumonia” also died due to cardiopulmonary arrest.
In Kashmir valley, 603 fresh cases of Coronavirus were reported today taking the J&K tally of the positive cases to 67510.
Those who tested positive include 190 from Srinagar, 62 Budgam, 80 Baramulla, 25 Pulwama, 40 Anantnag, 41 Bandipora, 61 Kupwara, 74 Ganderbal, 13 Kulgam and 8 from Shopian.
An official said that 13,608 positive cases including 272 deaths and 11,273 recoveries are from Srinagar; 4,545 including 80 deaths and 2,879 recoveries are from Budgam; 4,033 including 2,698 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Baramulla; 3,675 including 3,085 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Pulwama; 3,356 including 62 deaths and 2,881 recoveries are from Anantnag; 3,254 including 2,427 recoveries and 34 deaths are from Bandipora; 3,304 cases including 2,440 and 64 deaths are from Bandipora; 2,711 including 2,056 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Ganderbal; 2,223 including 2,023 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Kulgam and 1,963 including 1,733 recoveries and 30 deaths are from Shopian.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 19,918 including 8,374 from Kashmir division and 11,544 from Jammu division.
With 2,796 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 46,530 which is 68.92 percent of the total cases and was over 78 percent over two weeks back.
