6 die of COVID, 178 test +ve

SRINAGAR, Nov 24 : Kashmir reported six more COVID-19 deaths, taking the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 1651 while 178 fresh Corona cases were reported from Valley.
Those who died include a 70-year-old woman from Uri in district Baramulla, a 64-year-old from Imam Sahib in district Shopian, a 60-year-old man from Bogund in district Kulgam, a 69-year-old man from Zaina Kadal in district Srinagar, a 60-year-old from Shuhama in Srinagar and a 79-year-old from Tengpora in Srinagar.
With these deaths, the total fatality count in the Valley has reached 1085.
Srinagar district with 408 deaths topped the list followed by Baramulla 160, Budgam 99, Pulwama 86, Kupwara 81, Anantnag 77, Bandipora 50, Kulgam 50, Ganderbal 37 and Shopian 37.
Kashmir today reported 178 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the number of cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 107,330.
Those who tested positive include 84 from Srinagar, 18 Baramulla, 16 Budgam, 19 Pulwama, 14 Kupwara, 2 Anantnag, 7 Bandipora, 12 Ganderbal, 3 Kulgam and 3 from Shopian.
As per official figures, 22,513 positive cases including 408 deaths and 20,724 recoveries are from Srinagar, 7,277 including 160 deaths and 6,671 recoveries are from Baramulla, 6,744 including 6,352 recoveries and 99 deaths are from Budgam, 5,016 including 4,768 recoveries and 86 deaths are from Pulwama, 5,090 including 81 deaths and 4,496 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,509 including 4,306 recoveries and 77 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,350 cases including 4,127 and 50 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,116 including 3,854 recoveries and 37 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,582 including 2,467 recoveries and 50 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,308 including 2,209 recoveries and 37 deaths are from Shopian.
With the fresh cases, the number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 64,505 including 59,974 recoveries and 1,085 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 5,357 including 3,446 from Kashmir division.
With 495 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 100,322, which is 93.47 percent of the total cases.
So far 2,856,746 samples were processed in J&K. Of them 2,749,416 tested negative and 107,330 positive. Among them 5,357 persons are active, 100,322 persons recovered and 1,651 persons have died.
