6% DA installment demanded

JAMMU, Oct 6: All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation (LPEF), has made strong plea to the State Government to release  6% DA installment in favour of employees and pensioners.
In a press statement, president of the LPEF Abdul Majid Khan said that 6% DA installment is due from July 2015 but the Government was causing unnecessary delay. He said that this installment be released in cash in favour of employees and pensioners.
Mr Khan pointed out that in view of soaring prices of essential commodities, the members of working class, especially from Class III and Class IV  are facing lot of problems in feeding their families. He also demanded fixation of minimum wages to Rs 350 per day  and enhancement of Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 as the same is being provided at the rate of Rs 5000 per month to the sitting and former ministers and legislators. Khan also sought hike in the remuneration of Village Guards, Numberdars and Anganwadi workers and helpers.
