JAMMU, Nov 16: Nowabad police arrested six persons along with Rs 9500 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Nowabad Police Station and arrested six gamblers along with Rs 9500 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons have been identified as Amit Kumar Angral, son of Chaman Lal of Rajinder Nagar, Vikas Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of Krishna Nagar, Sharit Bhasun, son of Kishori Lal of Krishna Nagar, Samrat Kumar, son of Mohinder Lal of Rajinder Nagar, Vipan Gupta, son of Thodu Ram of Rajinder Nagar and Darshan, son of Amarnath of Gorkha Nagar.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against them at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Neeraj Bhagat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Pranav Mahajan and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
