Since very inception of the civilisation, significance of cleanliness has been held high. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Mission is a big step in this direction. Darwaja Band Karo by Amitabh Bachan is another contributory slogan in this direction. Not to speak of human beings, even animals and birds try to keep themselves clean. Hygienically, keeping surroundings clean, help keep many diseases away. It isn’t that before this Mission, nothing used to be done in this field, but until campaigning isn’t done wih Missionary Zeal and spirit, nothing much can be gained. Swachh Bharat Mission has kindled a fire, awakened the people of all walks of life to cultivate the habit of keeping their surroundings clean. A kind of psychology has started forming, particularly, among the youngesters, not to create dirt and filth to keep the surrounding beautiful looking. It is a healthy sign, and if continued, a way of life would be formed and adopted for the purpose. For beautifying a place, cleanliness is the first factor. Therefore, need for more initiatives, campaigns and awakening can’t be over emphasised. If every body starts observing and appreciating the importance and purposefulness of the mission sincerely and wholeheartedly, the goals and objectives, the Mission is woven with, will not remain unachieved. If the rulers are good, the public automatically becomes good and vice versa, as the tradition goes.
