SRINAGAR: Minister for Education, Syed, Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today chaired a meeting of officers to review the water supply positioning of Amira Kadal constituency.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner Secretary PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Saurabh Bhagat, Chief Engineer PHE Kashmir G M Bhat and other concerned officers.
On the occasion, Bukhari took the stock of water related issues of Amira Kadal Constituency and asked the concerned officers to ensure adequate water supply.
Threadbare deliberations were held on setting up of one Km long water supply pipe in Bulbul Bagh for augmenting the existing water supply. He also asked concerned officials to expedite the repair works of damaged portion of pipe line from Zero Bridge to Abiguzar.
The meeting also deliberated upon setting up of 1100 meters of pipeline at Goripora, 500 meters at Mandar Bagh, 800 meters at Abiguzar to solve the water related issues in these areas.
The Minister directed the concerned officers to visit the areas to know the magnitude of problems faced by people and solve all the issues at an earliest.
The Minister also reviewed the progress of work at Flood Spill Channel, Narbal. He directed the concerned officials to expedite the work and complete the work in a time bound manner.
It was informed that Rs 55 crore has been released by the Central Government for expansion of the channel.
