JAMMU, July 22: COVID cases continued to surge with 531 testing positive in Jammu and Kashmir today while 17 fresh cases were registered in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Of 531 cases, 288 were registered in Jammu division and 243 in Kashmir.
Jammu district added 152 cases, Kathua 55, Udhampur 21, Poonch 16, Kishtwar 15, Rajouri 10, Doda and Samba nine each and Reasi one. Ramban district didn’t report any cases.
Active positive cases in J&K have gone up to 2411 including 1349 in Jammu region and 1062 in Kashmir. Jammu district has highest number of 936 active positive cases.
Among 17 new cases in Ladakh, 16 were reported in Leh district and one in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 107 active positive cases—105 in Leh and two in Kargil.
