Plus-2 Lecturers Forum apprises Education Minister of its demands

JAMMU, Aug 3: A delegation of All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum called on Minister for Education Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari and submitted a memorandum of demands and discussed and apprised various issues pertaining to Plus-2 community and sought his personal intervention in their redressal.
The delegation , led by  Deepak Sharma, working president of the Forum,  highlighted the demands like  grant of benefit of Running Grade /Time Bound promotion in favour of Plus -2 Lecturers,  regularization of all incharge incumbents including Joint Directors, CEOs, Principals and Lecturers, placement of Lecturers in Pay Band-III instead of Pay Band-II as per S L  Bhat Cabinet Sub Committee recommendations before the implementation of 7th Pay Commission Report,  repatriation of Joint Directors from KAS cadre working in Education Department to their parent cadre which has been done in violation to SRO-481, etc.
Deepak Sharma apprised the Minister that in no other department, which is not a feeding cadre to KAS Cadre, the officers are appointed from KAS Cadre. He further said since Education Department is not a feeding cadre to KAS Cadre, their officers can’t be appointed in Education Department.
Delegation also reiterated their demand of exclusion of newly appointed Plus-2 Lecturers from SRO-202, which is most discriminatory and exploitative in nature as no other Gazetted Service has been covered under its ambit.
Forum also demanded immediate release of promotion lists of Joint Directors, CEOs, Principals and Senior Lecturers to fill the gaps.
Other demands included, non vacational status to the Principals, restoration of 40 percent college quota and removal of pay anomalies and regularization of Physical Education Lecturers.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured positive consideration to all the demands.
The delegation comprised of N S  Jamwal, Charan Dass, Anil Sharma, Pardeep Singh, R S  Salathia, Sanjay Bhagat and others.
