KATHUA, Jan 7: A five year old boy was crushed to death by a tractor when he along with his relatives was going to board a bus for Basohli at General Bus Stand Kathua today.
According to police a five year old boy identified as Lokesh, son of Arun Kumar of Samba was on his way to Basohli along with his maternal uncle and other relatives today.
After reaching General Bus Stand Kathua they were on to board a bus for Kathua when a tractor bearing registration number JK08C-2177 hit the boy and crushed him to death on spot.
The driver of the tractor fled after the accident. However police has seized the tractor and registered a case against the driver. The police has also launched a manhunt to arrest the driver. The body of the boy was handed over to parents after postmortem at DH Kathua later.
