5 thieves arrested with stolen gold items worth Rs 5 lakh

JAMMU, July 11: Bakshi Nagar Police arrested five thieves and recovered stolen gold items worth Rs 5 lakh from their possession.
As per police sources, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Bakshi Nagar by a person namely Pawan Kumar, son of Bhimsen Gupta of Shakti Nagar regarding theft of cash and jewellery from his house.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 89/2022 under sections 454 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Harjeet Singh was constituted under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar and SP North Kulbir Handa.
The team did strenuous efforts and after connecting various leads finally arrested five thieves, who were identified as Neeraj Lalotra, son of Charanjeet Lal of Bakshi Nagar, Sikander Raj, son of Prithvi Raj of Roulki Bakshi Nagar, Sahil Dogra, son of Garu Ram of Roulki Bakshi Nagar, Sushant Bakshi, son of Surinder Kumar of Bakshi Nagar and Ankush Anand, son of late Ashok Kumar of Jullakha Mohalla District Jammu.
On their disclosure, stolen items worth Rs 5 lakh were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
