JAMMU, July 8: Five Kashmiri Pandit migrant retired teachers of National High School, Srinagar Kashmir are running from pillar to post for justice from Education Department and UT Government for release of their PF pension since 2018.
These hapless teachers said that they have approached to the top most officials of UT Government through their advocate, Ramesh Wangnoo who has sent so far eight reminders to high dignitaries which including Director School  Education,  Princiapal Secretary Education, Advisor to the Lt Governor Education, Principal Secretary to the J&K Governor and Director School Education.
They said surprisingly and regretfully except rosy promises made by the Education Department, no concrete steps were taken by the concerned authorities in releasing teachers own PF money which through a policy was retained by the school w.e.f 1980, by constituting a PF –fund policy in the same year for the teachers who wanted to go for PF-pension because being a private school there was no separate pension policy in the school and hence in the year 1980-1981 a fund titled as Pension Fund”National School staff pension ’’ was constituted. They said a small peanut amount of PF-pension Rs.750/= per month was being paid regularly to the unfortunate teachers but w.e.f January 2018 school stopped paying it citing fund problem and taking over of the school by the then State Education Department.
In the year 2020, Director Finance School Education sanctioned an amount of Rs 56.64 lac directing school authorities to clear all their liabilities. The school had shown among other liabilities a liability of Rs.2,08,16/= titled as liability of pension which was the PF-Pension Fund Corpus belonging to these teachers but instead of clearing this liability Education Department is adopting delaying tactics in payment of this amount due to the reasons best known to them.
This is total  apathy, slackness  & lack of empathy shown towards these hapless employees who along with the other members of their community were thrown out of valley in 1990, said Ramesh Wangnoo.
