UDHAMPUR, Apr 5: A five kilometer road constructed under MGNREGA from Latti town to famous Nag Mandir in Dudu Sub Division was completed today.
All the five Panchayat members including Sarpanch, Latti Kasturi Lal Gupta, accompanied by SHO Insp Vijay Tahkur, in a Police Gypsy as a maiden drive, reached the famous Nag Temple this afternoon and performed special prayers. It was the most popular demand of the people of this area.
With the intervention of Deputy Commission Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib during her public Darbar at the town this demand was projected by the local Panchayat members. They accompanied by the locals of the area cleared stones and debris from the road and ensured the arrival of first vehicle at the temple today. They extended gratitude to the DC and ACD Udhampur for the prompt action.
