UDHAMPUR, May 6: Police today arrested a drug peddler and seized five Kg of contraband substance (poppy straw) from his possession.
According to SSP Udhampur Rajiv Pandey, the accused, identified as Rahul Sharma son of Hans Raj of Ward number 17 Udhampur, was apprehended by a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur, Vijay Singh Choudhary, under the supervision of Dr Rohit Chadgal, DySP Hqrs Udhampur and Rajinder Kumar Katoch, Addl SP Udhampur, during a naka at Jakhani.
In this connection, a case FIR number 199/2019 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act was registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case was going on.
