MENDHAR, Sept 18: The SDM Mendhar Thakur Sher Singh and Tehsildar, assisted by SDPO and SHO Mendhar today removed illegal occupation by some families on nearly 5 kanal Govt land.
Official sources said that one Mohd Rashid, son of Alaf Din, resident of Kalaban, in connivance with some key Revenue officials had managed to prepare forged papers of Govt land under Khasra No. 555 and 612. Out of 7 kanal land in Khasra No. 612 and 2 kanal in Khasra 555, Rashid with the help of some relatives raised five structures on this 5 kanal land with the active support of a local politician last night.
As the SDM came to know about the matter, he along with SDPO and Tehsildar and police force launched operation today and smashed all the illegal structures. He also directed Tehsildar to hold inquiry and initiate action against the Revenue officials responsible for preparing forged papers. He also asked Tehsildar to cancel the illegal Girdawari of the said land.
