DODA, Apr 14: Five persons were injured after a Maruti car skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Parwati village in the Dhara area here today.
As per reports, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK02AF-1083 met with an accident near Parwati village, resulting into injuries to five people.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured persons were rescued and shifted to GMC Doda, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured were identified as Neeraj Sharma, son of Prithvi Raj, a resident of Punyala, Sunil Sharma, son of Panchi Ram, a resident of Kilwana, Shabir Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani of Butbagi and Raveed Kumar, son of Des Raj of Bikharyan. The identity of one more injured was yet to be ascertained.
However, a case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
