JAMMU, May 16: Acting on a specific information about gambling, a police party of P/S Ramgarh today raided the gambling spot at village Kotli Matkalian, Ramgarh and arrested five gamblers. The stake money of Rs. 590 was recovered from the spot along with playing cards. The gamblers were identified as Jasbir Singh S/o Jagdev Singh R/o Kotli Matkalian, Kavi Singh S/o Janak Singh R/o Kotli Matkalian, Surjeet Singh S/o Bishamber Singh R/o Kotli Matkalian, Ankush Gupta S/o Romesh Lal R/o Gandli tehsil Bishnah Toni S/o Bodh Raj R/o Kathar tehsil Arnia.
Taking cognizance of the matter, all the gamblers were booked under Section 13 of Gambling Act at P/S Ramgarh.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba headed by Inspector Bhupinder Singh, SHO P/S Ramgarh under the close supervision of S. Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur.
