Wrestler Benia Min of JKP lifts Hut-Parthal Dangal Title

KATRA, May 16: Wrestler Benia Min of Basantgarh in District Udhampur clinched 7th Hut-Parthal Dangal Title at Sherbad, here today.
The Dangal was organized by Hut-Parthal Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
61 bouts were played in the day-long dangal.
Wrestler Vikas of Delhi was declared as the best Wrestler of the dangal. He was given cash prize of Rs 1,100 by Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma, Zonal Education Officer Kaka Ram, Ex Sarpanch Rattan Singh and Deepak Wazir.
Renowned Wrestlers from Punjab, Harayana, UP, Delhi, Himachal and J&K State participated in famous Dangal, which was witnessed by a large
gathering of sports lovers from Jammu Province.
The first malli bout Wrestler Benia Min was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 31,000 by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Rattan Singh and Pritam Singh Wazir, while runners-up Wrestler Vikram Kotia got Rs 20,000 by ZEO Kaka Ram, Deepak Wazir, Rajinder Kumar and Om Parkash Verma. Hotelier Pritam Singh Wazir contributed financial assistance of Rs 51,000 to the organizers.
Commandant CRPF 6th Battalian Katra Jatinder Kumar Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.
