5 drug licenses suspended

JAMMU, June 15: Drugs and Food Control Organisation (DFCO) today suspended licenses of five chemist shops for violating provisions of Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and the rules.
The shops, whose licenses have been suspended, included Marhaba Medicate, Sangeen Darwaza, Hawal, Health Care, Sangeen Darwaza, Hawal, RSM Medicate, Mental Hospital, Effa Medicate, Saida Kadal, Srinagar and Bhat Medicate, Saderbal, Srinagar.
The operation of licenses has been suspended initially for a period of two days.
The Enforcement team of the DFCO under the supervision of Controller, Satish Gupta and Assistant Controller, Drugs, Mohammad Younis.
The team inspected 25 outlets and took five samples for detailed analysis.
