Brahman Biradari for fair elections of Sabha

JAMMU, June 15: Expressing serious concern over the state of affairs in Dogra Pratinidhi Brahman Sabha, several prominent Brahman Biradari members have demanded free and fair elections and framing of an adhoc body for the purpose.
In a joint statement during a meeting, the heads of various Brahman biradaris, including Ajit Khajuria, president Khajuria Biradari, S N Sharma, president Mangotra Biradari and Paroch (Retd Distt Sessions Judge), PP Sharma ( Retd PCCF), Jia Lal Sharma ( Retd Director Horticulture), J K Vaid ( Retd Director GSI), H B Khajuria (Retd Chief Engg), D K Vaid (Retd DSE), Prithvi Raj Sharma ( Retd SP), Dr Jatinder Sharma (Associate professor) besides others, these some prominent members of the community expressing grave concern over the state of chaos prevailing in the management of Brahman Sabha and constitutional crisis which has rendered the Sabha as headless body, stressed for the need to re-organise the management of the Sabha at the earliest. The speakers in the meeting highly criticized the so called self styled election committee and termed it as against the provisions of the constitution of the Sabha.
It was decided unanimously in the meeting to bring the Sabha back on the track and to save the Brahman community collectively. It was also resolved to organize a general body meeting of the Brahman Samaj shortly and frame an adhoc committee to conduct free and fair election under the provisions of the constitution of the Sabha. They rejected the so called election committee.
