UDHAMPUR, Oct 26: Sudhmahadev Police today rescued 5 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers, who were taking these animals to Kashmir.
Acting on reliable information, a police party from Police Station Chenani laid a surprise naka near Sudhmahadev and intercepted two suspicious person who were travelling on foot towards Srinagar along with five bovine animals.
During questioning, the duo admitted that they were smuggling the bovine animals to Kashmir. On this Police arrested both of them and rescued the animals. The accused were identified as Raj Ali and his brother Gulam Ali of Sudhmahadev.
Police has registered the case in this connection.
