5.6 magnitude quake rocks Pakistan, Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD:An earthquake, measuring 5.6 on the Richter Scale, jolted parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan early today.
The temblor was epicentred at the Himalayan mountain range.
The tremors were felt in Peshawar, Malakand, Swat, Upper and Lower Dir, Murree, Gilgit, Abbottabad, Nowshera, Haripur, Hazara, Lahore and the federal capital among other parts of the country where residents evacuated homes and buildings out of fear.    No loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.    The earthquake tremors were also felt in the border areas of Afghanistan.
