SRINAGAR:A 5.5 magnitude quake jolted the Kashmir valley, including summer capital, Srinagar, early this morning.
The tremors, which were felt at 0340 hrs, shook the valley when people were busy in prayers after Sahree, pre dawn meals before the start of the 12 day of holy month of Ramzan.
People rushed out of their homes and mosques after the quake, epicenter of which was in Afghanistan. There was no immediate report of any loss of life or damage to property. (AGENCIES)
