Srinagar, Dec 19: The traffic police today said that it seized over 403 passenger vehicles operating from Batamaloo Bus Stand in last one month.
The Traffic police Srinagar City said in a statement that in compliance to the High Court directions, Traffic Police City Srinagar has seized more than 403 Sumo, Taveera, Xylo, Cabs which were found operating from the entry / exit points of the erstwhile Batamaloo Bus Stand since 05th of November, 2017.
“Moreover, 40 Buses / Mini buses have been seized as well as Route Permit of 24 vehicles have also been cancelled which were found operating from the erstwhile Batamaloo Bus Stand for violating the High Court directions,” the statement added.
Traffic police said they want to convey to all Sumo, Taveera, Xylo, Bus / Mini Bus operators that they should not operate from the entry / exit points of the erstwhile Batamaloo bus stand as High Court direction is clear that no PSV should operate from erstwhile Batamaloo Bus Stand.
