JAMMU, Apr 10: In a drive against illegal parking, police today challaned 40 vehicles on Banganga road in the holy town Katra.
According to Superintend-ent of Police (SP) Katra Kulbir Singh, a police team from Katra police station carried out a drive against illegal parking of vehicles on Banganga road.
During the drive, 40 vehicles including three wheelers and four wheelers were challaned, SP said. Around 6 vehicles were also seized, he added.
He further stated that the drive was carried out to remove the illegally parked vehicles on the Banganga road for the convenience of pilgrims visiting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.
