UDHAMPUR, Aug 2: Two women and a four-year old child were mauled by bear at Upper Jakhed area of tehsil Latti, here today.
The injured were identified as Kavita Thakur (27), wife of Ranjeet Singh, Ajay Kumar (04), son of Rashpaul and Chanchla Devi (35) wife of Romesh Chand, all residents of Jakhed. The victims were on way to home from nearby forest after grazing their cattle when wild bear attacked them.
All the injured were admitted in Primary Health Centre Latti where Chanchla was later referred to District Hospital Udhampur for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile, a 72 year old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Rasli Gaderan village, under the jurisdiction of Basantgarh Police Station. Identity of the woman was not ascertained so far.
