Srinagar, Feb 11: Police today arrested four thieves and recovered six stolen cows from them in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A police spokesman said following a tip off they intercepted a mini truck at main market Bandipora and on its checking recovered six stolen cows.
“Four people who were transporting these cows from Shopian to Bandipora have been arrested and further investigation has been taken up,” he added.
The spokesman said the stolen cows and the vehicle involved were handed over to the police in South Kashmir’s Shopian district as perhaps they were robbed from there.
