4 OGWs held with arms in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Feb 24: Four Over Ground Workers (OGWs) affiliated with banned Hizbul Mujahideen organization were arrested along with 2 UBGL grenades, 120 live rounds of AK 47, 2 empty magazines of AK 47 and posters of HM outfit here today.
As per official spokesman, a joint party of Kishtwar Police, 17 RR and CRPF 52 Bn were on long range patrolling in Dool Dhar forest area of Kishtwar.
During patrolling, four persons were seen moving from Dool towards Dool Dhar forest area, who on seeing the security forces tried to flee from the spot but were overpowered and detained.
On preliminary questioning, they disclosed their identity as Shafi Bakerwal, son of Meer Khan, Fareed Ahmed, son of Haji Khan and Zubair Ahmed, son of Mohammad Shafi, all residents of Pyas Padyarna and Ismaiel, son of Peerya of Chhichha,Nagseni.
During their personal search, security forces recovered 2 UBGL grenades, 120 live rounds of AK 47, 2 empty magazines of AK 47 and posters of HM outfit.
A case FIR Number 35/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
