REASI, Oct 23: Four independent candidates who successfully contested MC elections in Reasi today offered unconditional support to BJP.
During a meeting of the elected candidates held here under the leadership of BJP MLA from Reasi, Ajay Nanda, these 4 independents offered support to BJP, thus paving the way for BJP to form committee and elect its president for the new MC.
It is pertinent to mention here that out of the 13 seats in RMC, 6 have been won by BJP, 5 by independents and 2 Congress. These four offering support to BJP are- Varun Sharma, Yog Raj Raina, Jahan Ara and Mohd Ramzan. In Katra MC out of 13 seats, BJP has won 7 and is in position to easily form its committee.
