JAMMU, Sept 9: Four gamblers were nabbed along with Rs 3,980 stake money and playing cards from Bhalla Colony, falling under the jurisdiction of Channi Himmat police station.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, a team from Channi Himmat police station conducted a raid in Bhalla Colony and nabbed four gamblers along with Rs 3,980 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Raju, son of Pyara Lal of Peerpur Madhya Pardesh, at present Bhalla Colony, Mahesh Kumar, son of Kunj Ram of Chaterpur, at present Greater Kailash, Mannu Lal, son of Udhay Aherwal of Chatterpur, at present Bhalla Colony and Lachman, son of Puran Ram of Chatterpur, at present Greater Kailash.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against them at Channi Himmat police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Channi Himmat police station Inspector Aejaz Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
