4 gamblers arrested with stake money

JAMMU, Jan 21: Four gamblers have been arrested along with Rs 12,280 stake money and playing cards from Raghunath Bazaar area.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Hari Market Police Post conducted raid in Raghunath Bazaar area and arrested four gamblers along with Rs 12,280 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons have been identified as Nazir Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed of Sopore, Tariq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Ahmed of Harwan, Riyaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh of Kharwani and Ghulam Nabi, son of Ghulam Rasool of Harwan.
A case under Gambling Act has been registered at City Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Hari Market Police Post SI Ranjeet Singh Rao made the arrest under the supervision of SHO City Inspector Vishal Sharma, SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
