4 fresh PoK guests arrive, 5 Kashmiris cross to other side of LoC

SRINAGAR :  Four women residents of  Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here today while  five Kashmiris cross over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) to meet their relatives, separated in 1947.    As many as, 18 returnees also cross sides at Kaman post, the last Indian military post on this side of the LoC in Uri sector in north Kashmir, official sources said.    They said four women arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Aman Setu, peace bridge on foot.    Six residents of Kashmir, who had gone to PoK, also returned to their homes after completing stay across the LoC. They included two women and a child.    Meanwhile, five Kashmiris crossed over to other side in the Karvan-e-Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, since April 7,2005 after India and Pakistan agreed to allow families divided due to partition to meet each other on ‘ Travel Permits’ instead of International  Passports.
They included three women, sources said.    They said 12 PoK residents who had arrived here in previous buses also returned to their homes after completing stay with their relatives. They included a woman and four  chidren.
