KATHUA, June 15: In order to take strict action against the illegal mining within the district, Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal today seized four dumpers along with one JCB machine indulged in illegal mining.
A police team today headed by Inspector, Arun Slathia in charge Police Post (PP) Chadwal under the supervision of SDPO Border, Sachit Mahajan in its jurisdictional area found three dumpers bearing Registration Number JK14P-9942, JK08K-8618 and JK14F-4898 respectively indulged in illegal mining and were being used for illegal transportation of construction material.
While in another instance a police team of Police Station (PS) Billawar under the supervision of Inspector, Om Parkash Chib SHO Billawar in its jurisdictional area near Bhini Nallah found one dumper bearing Registration Number JK08K-6469 and a JCB bearing Engine Number 56D102E indulged in illegal mining and being used for illegal transportation of construction material.
Meanwhile all the four dumpers along with JCB machine was seized and handed over to the officials of Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
