POONCH, May 30: The police rescued four bovine animals from the clutches of smugglers while foiling bid of smuggling in Poonch area today.
On the directions of SSP Poonch, Vinay Sharma, a special Naka was laid at TCP Poonch.
During naka checking Police party of PS Poonch intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration No. JK12C -1916 near SK Bridge Poonch which was driven by Sarfaraz Ahmed , son of Mohd Akbar from Lassana in Tehsil Surankote,
On checking, it was found that 04 bovine animals are loaded with utmost cruelty in starvation and were illegally transporting to Kashmir from Poonch without any permission.
In this connection case FIR No 68 of 2023 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Poonch.
