UDHAMPUR, Sept 23: Police today foiled another attempt of bovine smuggling and arrested one person who was smuggling four bovine animals to Kashmir valley.
Conducting surprise checking on the National Highway near Kheri, a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur Deepak Jasrotia intercepted one persons namely Bhutto of Third who was smuggling four bovine animals to Kashmir valley on foot.
The accused was asked to show proper permission by District Magistrate for taking these bovine animals but he could not produce the same.
Police rescued all the bovine animals and arrested the smuggler. In this connection, a case was also registered under Section 188/RPC.
