JAMMU, Dec 20: The election of BJP state president will be held here at Party Headquarters on December 22.
Four Party observers from New Delhi including BJP’s national spokesman and M P, Rajiv Partap Rudy, Party in charge J&K Jagdish Mukhi, co-incharge R P Singh and Dr Anil Jain are reaching here tomorrow to supervise the election of the State president.
They will meet the senior leaders from the State and 44 members of State Electoral College one by one to ascertain their views before holding the election of new president.
The election will be held on December 22 at 11 am at Party Headquarters. According to Party sources, the leadership is confident that new president will be elected through a consensus.
Meanwhile, BJP state president Shamsher Singh Manhas has also convened a meeting of senior office bearers tomorrow to discuss the strategy for election to the post of State chief.
With the election of State president, the four tier organisational election process started over two months back will culminate on December 22. The election process was started with election of booth level Committee members, which was followed by election of Mandal presidents and district presidents.
