JAMMU, Jan 19: Four persons have been arrested by Bishnah police for looting an army jawan late last night in Bishnah area.
As per police sources, an army jawan identified as Subash Chander, son of Jang Bhadur of Pindi Charkan Kallan, Arnia, was going home late last night, when some thieves kidnapped him and snatched Rs 9000 cash, ATM and some other documents.
The jawan after escaping the custody of the thieves reported the matter to Bishnah police station.
Acting swiftly, police arrested four persons involved in the crime, who have been identified as Sanjeev Singh, son of Jagdish Singh, Gowardan Singh alias Shotu, son of Uttam Singh, both residents of Chorli, Bishnah, Ankush Kumar, son of Tilak Raj and Ramnik Singh, son of Rattan Lal of Bishnah.
Further investigation into the case registered under FIR Number 15/16 under Section 394, 365/34 RPC registered with Bishnah police station is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah police station Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
