UDHAMPUR, Jan 19: An Army jawan of 11 Jat Regiment was found hanging from ceiling hook in his barracks near MI Room, Northern Command Headquarters, here today.
The deceased was identified as Lance Naik Naryan Singh (34) son of Durgh Singh of Bathat Pur Rajasthan. His Army colleagues found him hanging under mysterious circumstances and immediately informed the senior officer. Rehambal Police also rushed to the spot and took the body in its custody.
The dead body was later shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem and other legal formalities. A Police case in this connection has been registered.
Meanwhile, a young man was found dead in Nallah at village Krch Danota in Pancheri, here today. The deceased was identified as Rattan Chand (31) son of Dhani Ram of village Krch Danota near Satsangh Bhawan in Panchari. Police shifted the dead body to PHC for the postmortem and registered a case under Section 174 RPC for further investigation.
