JAMMU, Jan 19: To commemorate 68th Republic Day celebration, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Delta Force organised a friendly cricket match between the local players hailing from Marshu, Malhori, Khellani, Assar and adjoining villages, today at Raggi Nala.
The match involved teams from Marshu and Malhori villages and was witnessed by a host of local dignitaries as well as a boisterous cheering crowd.
The winning team of Malhori village was felicitated alongwith individual players who displayed exceptional skills during the match.
The response and participation shown by the locals for the match showed the high spirit of bonhomie and camaraderie existing between the Armed Forces and people of the region.
The locals appreciated the sincere efforts of the Indian Army to involve the youth of the region in mainstream activities and requested the Army to otrganise more such events.
